Dunes
Death Valley is the hottest and driest area in the Western Hemisphere, and one of the lowest in the world. It is located near the border between California and Nevada and it stretches over an area of about 3,000 square miles (770 square kilometers).
The Mesquite Dunes is an area of extremes and contrasts, a rugged, yet strangely beautiful place. The abstract realism of this hot and dry landscape inspires curiosity and lends itself to graphic or minimalist compositions of swirling snakes, waves, human-like body shapes, ripples, and more.
Dunes, an abstract nature photography project shot in Death Valley, California was featured as a finalist in the 2018 Palm Springs Photo Festival Slideshow Competition at Annenberg Theater, Palm Springs, California and Chania Photo Festival (CIP Festival) in Greece.
