A Juried Art Exhibit “Monochrome photography is a presentation of reality from a different angle. When the photographer decides to present an image in only one color, this is done because they want to present what they see in a different way; to stress on the subject rather than the colors and the general feeling they create. Sometimes monochrome photographs are presented in a hue. California landscapes This is a solo exhibit signed by American-Romanian photographer Susanna Patras with title: Contrasts, California Landscapes. The photographer, who lives in Reno, Nevada, very close to the California border focuses on three major areas: Death Valley, Mono Lake, and Yosemite National Park. The exhibit will be on display at N. Tonitza Gallery in Iasi, Romania from 23 – 31 January, 2018. This art gallery is managed by The Visual Artists’ Union of Romania (UAPR). The Minimalist Art project Trans Himera is moving to Iasi Atheneum from the City Hall Art Galleries starting tomorrow evening. The exhibit is a collaboration between four domains: photography, painting, sculpture and haiku.
